Backyard find: Grapes

Along with the mulberry that grows into our backyard, there is a grape vine that gave a very good yield this year. They taste delicious, sweet yet slightly tart.

For now, we are eating as it is. But it could also end up in a sorbet ’such as’ this one.

sooo you grow grapes, mulberry and other cool stuff and boast about it on the blog..so that we losers get to feel bad…………………you are good ;)

No, Rajitha. We don’t grow them. They just like to lean into our yard from the neighbour’s.

Wow! Those grapes look wonderful! It is so cool they are from your backyard.

Yeah it is. We didn’t get much last year but this year there’s plenty for us and the birds.

Gini,
Beautiful color of the grapes, our homes were built on vineyards too so we enjoy quite a few of them in our yards, however they have been very very sour of late donno why ?

That is cool. In California? Maybe they are just upset with global warming :)

I love black grapes. I can have it anytime, anywhere. Nice pictures.

Thanks, Jyotsna. I loved these grapes. They taste similar to the ones that we used to get in India.

Wow what a nice feeling to have something like grapes growing in your backyard. Unfortuantely, appartments in Delhi dont allow such luxury. You are very lucky

I love the quality of your photos. I suppose it greatly matters that the person taking his pics is awfully good. But can you tell me more about the camera you use for these… I bet i will have to smash the ol piggy bank around for it but hey i dont mind paying for good stuff! thanks!
